The Fuente Álamo Technology Park is the Region of Murcia’s Technology Park and was inaugurated in 2004 as a result of the growing interest of the business sector for innovation and the determined commitment of the Region’s public authorities.
The park is an environment covering 40 hectares where companies with a high technology content carry out their activity and devote part of their effort to research and innovation in their sectors.
As a point of synergies, the technology centres of the region’s two public universities, the Technical University of Cartagena (Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena – UPCT) and the University of Murcia (Universidad de Murcia – UMU), have their headquarters here, as well as the Mare Nostrum Campus of International Excellence.
The main goal of the Fuente Álamo Technology Park is to provide the perfect place for technology-based companies to carry out their activities in the best possible way, taking into account the specificities of this type of facility, among which is, for example, security.
The plots have an electricity supply network with 400 and 630 KVA transformer stations, separate water networks (automated irrigation lines, rainwater, wastewater with pumping station, potable water with reserve tank) and a fire protection network.
The Park has a 600 Mb symmetric double fibre optic connection with an access ring to all the plots in the technology park, providing high capacity and high speed internet access, and a CTnet science and technology innovation support network.
Your mobile devices will also enjoy a high-performance connection, thanks to the powerful antenna installed in the technology park. This mobile phone antenna has 3G with a download speed of 21 MB and an upload speed of 5.8 MB, ready for 4G with up to 100MB of capacity.
The park has over 2,000 covered parking spaces available to anyone working for the companies in the park.
One of the great advantages of the site is its security. The Technology Park has a centralised security and surveillance system, with perimeter alarms and dome cameras.

A clear demonstration of the park’s commitment to technology and research are two of its technical facilities: the standard European pool for sonar and radar tests and the runway for drone flight tests.
50% of the surface area of the park is made up of green areas with places to rest and even eat in a relaxed way, and in a pleasant and natural environment – aspects that are also important in a work environment.
